F1 Visa Help on Financial Sponsorship, please help?

Hi, I would like to sponsor my friend in Russia to come to the USA and study english. I want to lend money to my friend, and have some sort of a promisory note, and that is I'll get my money back in two years with an interest rate. Will that work at the US consulate as financial support? I can show proof that I have the money, and that I can sponsor her? Will that work, or is it a bad idea?

1. it is a very bad idea to start with,but you do what you wish. she would have to apply for a student visa and when the consulate services see that you are the one given her the money? it will look as you are trying to get her in the US. as for the promissory note? it will worthless in the US.
2. If you are sponsoring someone, I don't think you need to lend them money. Financial support is whatever proof immigration wants you to present, it never implies lending money to a friend. Are you from Russia too?
